Barbara Compton Eckersley Barbara died August 31, 2018 in Morgan Utah. She was born at home on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1926 to George and Margaret Compton in Ogden, Utah. She grew up in Ogden in a loving home.

She graduated from Ogden High School. Barbara met and fell in love with William “Bill” Eckersley. They were married on July 25, 1945 while he was home on leave during WWII as a sailor in the U.S. Navy.

She and Bill were loving parents to 3 children; 1 daughter and 2 sons. Bill died on August 23, 1977. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by Lyn and Spencer Wright, Jay and Ellen Eckersley, Michael and Michelle Eckersley; grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law LaVon and Jim Montgomery and many nieces and nephews and friends. She loved and was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Marie Compton, Lane and June Compton and Merlin and Avon Compton.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. , Ogden, with a viewing from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
