Berna R. Nunnelee, 89, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on September 3, 1928 in White Deer, TX to Henson Virgle and Mattie Florence (Smith) Dorsey. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Elk City Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family. She married J.D. Nunnelee on December 4, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico.

She is a lifelong-member of the Assembly of God in Elk City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed arts and crafts such as painting,… Read More » coloring, puzzle books, crocheting, and cross stitching. She enjoyed camping and spending her time traveling.

She has traveled all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev.

Kevin Akins will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing her memory is her husband J.D. Nunnelee; two daughters; Loretta Alexander and Carol Tanner of Elk City, Oklahoma. One sister; Oleta White of Rhome, Texas. Seven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews across the United States.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgle and Mattie Dorsey; two grandsons; James Daniel Nodal Jr. and Christopher Lance Perry; one sister, Pauline Alma Varner.
