He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at his residence in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing his memory is his wife, JoAnn West; mother, Marty Watkins; three daughters, Ashley Barrs and her husband, John, Kelli Doty and her husband, Jerry, Teena Rogers and her husband, Jimmy; one son, Stephen Helzer and his wife, Miranda; seven grandchildren, Stella Grace Barss, Vivian Claire Barrs, Ashley Kellogg and her husband, Dustin, Macee Richardson, Ryann Richardson, Joshua Doty, Camden Helzer; two sisters, Linda Glasgow and her husband, Mike, Helen Watkins and her husband, Don Wilmer; five brothers, Don Watkins and his wife, Toni, Dean Watkins, Kent Watkins and his wife, Paula, Dave Watkins, Scott Watkins.
