John “Hitch” Hickok, 61, of Burns Flat, Oklahoma was born on September 6, 1956. He was born to his father, John Daniel Hickok II and Jane C. Hickok. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 1, 2018 at his home in Burns Flat, Oklahoma.

John was passionate about sports such as the Oklahoma City basketball team, “Thunder”. He worked hard, but he played even harder as he took pride in his work. Regardless of what life through at him he maintained, overcame, and grew.

John’s children… Read More » and grandchildren meant the world to him. His generosity, kindness, loyalty, and love knew no limits. He has taught many lessons throughout his life, and he continues to do so as his cherished memory goes on.

“It was real, and it was fun, it just wasn’t real fun”. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 the Martin Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev.

Dwight Shephard will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory is one daughter, Cassie Altstatt of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Brooke Hickok of Bethany Oklahoma; one sister, Judy Campbell and her husband Chris of Staunton, Virginia; five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Daniel II Hickok and Jane C.
