Bernard L. Chapman, 77 of Belpre, Ohio died on November 2, 2018 at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on September 11, 1941 and was the son of the late Helmer L. and Vivian V. Powell Chapman. He retired from the Teamster Union where he had been a truck driver for 33 years.

He had been a member of the Belpre Congregational Church. He was a member of the Moose Club #1118 in Parkersburg, and was an Eagle Scout. Bernard loved muscle cars, especially his 1970 Monte Carlo that he bought new, NASCAR and was a big Ohio State Fan.

Survivors include his wife Judy M. (Full) Chapman, two daughters, Brenda (William) Jaynes of Findley, Ohio, Linda (Hugh) Clinger of Knoxville, TN, two step sons, Michael (Lisa) Tenney of Belpre and Steven Tenney of Columbus, Ohio, 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas L. Chapman I of Belpre. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ryerson L. Chapman.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with the family receiving friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donatons may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
