Bernice A. Schrock, 95, of Springs, PA, died Friday, January 11, 2019, at Rest Assured Residential, Meyersdale, PA. Born July 16, 1923, in Springs, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Elva (Gelnett) Kolb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Schrock; four brothers, Merle, Blair, Donald and Robert Kolb and one sister, Mary Schrock.

Mrs. Schrock was a school teacher for the Garrett Co. Board of Education, retiring from the Grantsville Elementary School. Bernice received her Bachelor of Education at Eastern Mennonite College, Harrisonburg, VA. She was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church, Daughters of Dorcas Sewing Circle and the Garrett Co. Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by one step-son, Randall (Ellen) Schrock, Springs; one step-daughter, Margaret Short, Boynton, PA; four step-grandchildren, Tim and Samantha Schrock, Melissa McKenzie and Jennifer Haning; five step-great grandchildren and five step-great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Paul Versluis, III officiating. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery.
