Bernice’s Obituary Bernice “Nanny” Schneider Bodnar, 95, of Screven, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her residence. The Ohio native and former resident of Vero Beach, Florida lived in Wayne County the past 20 years. She accepted Christ as her Savior in the Spring of 2011 and later became a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hinesville, Georgia.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who had a smile and kind word for everyone she met and her contagious laugh made the room a brighter place. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Michael Bodnar. Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth (Levi) Rose of Screven, Debbie (James) Geddes of Oceanside, California, and Kathleen Bodnar of Richmond, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael (Barb) Bodnar and Gary Bodnar of Vero Beach, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.

“We love you, Nanny! A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Matthew Rose officiating.

Interment will be in Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service at the funeral home.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
