Matt’s Obituary Jesup, Ga. Matt Elkins, 57 of Jesup died Friday, March 22, 2019. The Ohio native and former Townsend resident had lived in Wayne County the past 7 years.

He was of the Baptist Faith, former Georgia DOT road crewman and a “Jack of all trades”. Matt was an avid fisherman and just enjoyed the outdoors. He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Helen Elkins.

Survivors are two sisters, Brenda Browning of Odum, Esther(David) Rowe of Townsend; 7 nieces and nephews, Rob (Kim) Browning, Josh(Joy) Browning, Bree Browning, Cora Nichols, Nena Woodard, Mariah and David Rowe, Jr.; 12 great nieces and nephews; companion, Elaine Faulk and friend, Doug Williams. Memorial services will be 2 PM Friday, March 29, 2019 at Eulonia Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Danny Stillwell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
