Bessie Galliher Vaughan, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Pamplico, SC a daughter of the late Robert L. Galliher and Connie Mae Flowers Galliher. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved reading, gardening, and her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Vaughan and by a great-great-grandson, Odin Wade Weinelt. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Joe Williams; grandchildren, John Wayne (Cresie Ann) Williams, Jr., Charlotte Marie Parnell, Robert Edward (Jennifer) Williams, and Adam Wayne Williams, all of Florence; great-grandchildren, John Wayne Williams, III, Joseph Wayne Williams, Joshua Thomas Lee Williams, Jessica Betty Mae Williams, Joslan Brianna Connie Williams, Kelly Marie Parnell, Aaron Franklin Parnell, Douglas Lloyd Parnell, Noah Conner Parnell, Robert Nathaniel Williams, and Dustyn Lee Williams; great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Wayne Williams, Jr., Jeremiah Prince Williams, Caleb Lyric Gaster, and Piper Rose Weinelt, and by a very special friend, Irene Brown of Florence. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.
