Beverly “Bev” Ann McDaniel 1936 – 2018 AUGUSTA – Beverly (Bev) Ann McDaniel, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at her home in Augusta, surrounded by her family. She was born in Augusta on Feb. 5, 1936, the oldest of eight children to Adrien “Pop” and Christine (Corbett) Poulin.

Beverly graduated from Cony High school in 1954. She worked for the Maine State Retirement System for 43 years in payroll administration. She enjoyed camping, traveling the United States and Canada with her companion, the late Rudy Poray, especially their Florida weekend getaways.

She loved her excursions with her dear friend and caregiver, Darlene Dial, in which the duo was lovingly nicknamed “Thelma and Louise”. She also loved her visits, and on-and-off road trips, with her beloved friend, Debbie White. Beverly will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Beverly was predeceased by her son, Michael; her parents; and her brother, Gary Poulin. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Woodcock and husband, Steven, of Richmond; her sons, Joel, of Modoc, S.C., William Sr. and his wife, Tia, of Augusta, and Peter Sr. and his companion, Barbara Smith, of West Gardiner; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Barbara Thompson, of Waterville and Bonnie Gurney and husband, Bob, of Manchester; her bothers, Ronald Poulin of Augusta, Larry Poulin and his wife, Carol, of Leesburg, Fla. , Philip Poulin of South China, and David Poulin and his wife, Lisa, of Readfield.

The family would like to thank the many friends and loved ones who took the time to stay in touch and visit. She enjoyed your company and reminiscing about the good times. A special thanks to MaineGeneral Hospice for all their loving care.

It was greatly appreciated. A celebration of her life will be held at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave.
