Beverly’s Obituary Beverly J. Rueck, 76, of Melvin passed away 7:20 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be 7 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. John Brennan officiating.

A private family burial will be in Lyman Twp Cemetery, Roberts at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Beverly was born April 14, 1942 in Gibson City the daughter of Dale and Dorothy Christensen Hillary.

She married Virgil E. Rueck April 29, 1962 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Anchor. He preceded her in death February 21, 2014. She is survived by two sons, Dale (Sheila) Rueck of Gibson City, David (Kim) Rueck of Foosland; four grandchildren, Steve (Lana) Sample, Chris Mogged, Ashley (Steve) Little, Samatha Rueck; five great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Kathy Hillary of Downs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Donald Hillary. Beverly spent her childhood in the Melvin-Sibley area and graduated from Melvin-Sibley High School. She was a member of St. Peter Free Lutheran Church, Melvin.

Beverly worked as a receptionist at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City for 21 years. She enjoyed clipping coupons for the military, cross stitching, needlepointing, and crocheting. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made to St. Peter Free Lutheran Church, Melvin or Transitions Hospice.
