Obituary for Bill “Mumpy” Mumaw Bill “Mumpy” Mumaw, 57 Bill “Mumpy” Mumaw, 57 of Ashland passed away, Monday, June 11, 2018 in University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born on July 22, 1960 in Ashland to the late Chester and Lillian (nee Williams) Mumaw. Bill attended Ashland High School.

He was employed as a truck driver by Whiteline Express in Michigan. He married the former Wendy Jo Sponsler in 2011. Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, playing with remote control cars, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Wendy J. Mumaw of Ashland; two daughters, Misty (fiancée Hallie Miley) Cain of Ashland and Chandra Roberts of Ashland; one son, Lucas McLaughlin of Idaho; two grandchildren, Raynelle Hulin and Zoey Puckett; a one brother, Chuck (Lois) Rogers of Ashland; his mother-in-law, Patricia Sponsler of Ashland; one sister-in-law, Jean (Bill) Sidle of Ashland; and a nephew, Tyler Sidle. Bill is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held, Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Enzor officiating.

Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. For those who may not be able to attend, online condolences may be shared on the funeral home’s website at denbowfh.com.
