Billy Wayne Ammons, age 46 of Bishop, VA died Monday, May 27, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. He was born June 27, 1972 in Bartow, FL and was the step-son of the late Tommy Lusk and the son of Donna Scott Lusk of Rocky Gap, VA and the biological son of the late Billy Ray Ammons. Billy was a big hearted man who loved and protected his family.

He enjoyed building and racing remote control cars, hunting ginseng and being outdoors camping and fishing. Billy was very proud of his Native American heritage. He had worked as a mechanic for several local garages and attended Alexandria United Methodist Church in Bishop, VA.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his step-father and father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Katrina Lusk; one brother, Thomas Carr. In addition to his mother, those who survive to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Teressa White Ammons; children, Kaden Ammons of the home, Bridget Andrews and Erika Ammons, both of North Carolina, Nicole Murray, Randy Murray and Dale Murray, all of South Carolina; four sisters, Sarah Lusk of Rocky Gap, VA, Chelsea England of Tazewell, VA, Aliesha Carver and Cassie Akin, both of Arkansas; three brothers, Christopher Ammons and wife, Julie of South Carolina, Willie Ammons of Bluefield, WV and Ricky Quesenberry of Rocky Gap, VA; father and mother in-law, James White and Barbara Gilbert of Bishop, VA; nine grandchildren; family friends, Jason Sarver and Paul Quesenberry, Jr.; special niece, Natalie Hager; several nieces, nephews, other family members also survive.

Graveside services for Billy Ammons will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Woodall Family Cemetery in Bandy, VA with Pastor Daniel Bradley officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Quesenberry, Tyler England, Randy Murray, Austin White, Marcus Ward and Wesley Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be James White and Jason Sarver.
