Obituary for Brenda P. Brandenburg Brandenburg, Brenda P., 66, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Friday June 22, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 17, 1951 in Dayton to Wanda June (Kingsland) and John M. Coomer. Brenda graduated in 1969 from Belmont High School.
She worked as an office manager for Dr. Thomas Percy, MD, for over 28 years before her retirement in 2016. She and her husband David are active members of Kettering Church, on Dorothy Lane in Kettering. Brenda loved traveling with Dave, spending time with her grandchildren, attending their sporting and school events, shopping, going out to eat, anything pink, getting her nails done and volunteering with Shoes4theShoeless.
She could always be counted on to bring “a little bit of glitz” everywhere she went. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joanna, and a brother, John Jr. Brenda leaves behind a devoted and loving husband of nearly 47 years, David Brandenburg, and two daughters, Krista (Andrew) Hunt and Tracy (Josh) Roberts, all of Beavercreek. Her pride and joy were her six grandchildren, Cole, Hannah, Abby, Macie, Ryan and Sydney, who dearly loved their Nana.
She also leaves behind countless family and dear friends. You are invited to attend Brenda’s life celebration beginning with a visitation on Tuesday June 26th from 5-8 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook, and continuing with services on Wednesday June 27th, 11:00 am at Kettering Church, 1450 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, with Pastor Brian Newell officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery on Dayton-Xenia Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you bring new athletic shoes in any size to the visitation to be given to Shoes4theShoeless. If you are unable to attend the visitation, please donate online at www. shoes4theshoeless.org.
Brenda loved this organization and served with them for several years. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for the excellent care they provided in her final weeks. You are welcome to send a condolence, light a candle and share a story about Brenda at www.
