Brent Lee Ward, was born on March 22, 1973, in Charleston, Illinois, to Ragnald Ocoho Ward and Meta Kay Spencer Ward. On January 29, 2019, he went peacefully into the next life. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Gilmer, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Kelsey Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2019, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home. He is survived by Stephanie Denton; his daughter, Keira Thompson; his parents, Ocoho Ward and Meta Kay Ward; He is also survived by his brothers, Ben Ward and Bradley Ward; sister, Shelby Ward; and his nephew, Jaylen Ward He is preceded in death by his brother, Barry Ward. Pallbearers are Denver Bowden, Kent Haws, Jerry Barnes, John Dodd, Ransom Hughes, Bradley Ward, Freddy Ward and Barry Pilcher.

Brent worked in the paint department at Home Depot until his health forced his retirement. He also painted with his father for many years until his health forced him to work inside. Please visit Brent’s on-line registration book at www.
