Brownie’s Obituary Brownie Laney, 80, of Easter Circle in Lexington, passed away Saturday at his home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday May 29, 2019 at the Lexington City Cemetery with Preacher Clyde Akers conducting services. Mr. Laney was born April 17, 1939 in Cherokee County North Carolina to Frank Laney and Lillie Sophina Brasdshaw Laney.

He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Billings Freight. Brownie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois Joan Bandy Laney; three brothers, Elmer Laney, Deveraux Laney and Billy Laney; five sisters, Hazel Luther, Mattie Watts, Intha Eubank, Mary Lee Hoskins and Jessie Mae Watson. Surviving is a sister, Coy Crotts of Welcome; a host of nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law , Garland Watson.

He will be missed by all, including his loving friends at the Andrews Senior Center.
