Obituary for Carl J. LaRosa Carl J. LaRosa, 64 of Wales, Massachusetts passed away peacefully Monday, April 30, 2018 at Wadsworth Glen in Middletown, CT. Carl was the beloved husband of thirty years to the late Jo-Ann (Melescinski) LaRosa. Born November 29, 1953 in New Britain, CT to the late Corrado and Celia (Frazetta) LaRosa.

He enjoyed taking road trips across the United States visiting family and friends. Carl liked to play cards and pool and enjoyed playing in local tournaments. He will be remembered by his outgoing, fun-loving personality and being the family jokester.

Carl enjoyed breakfast with “the good-ole-boys”; was an avid LA Rams and LA Dodgers fan and was a member of the Earls. Carl is survived by his son Nicholas LaRosa and his wife Aubrey of Arizona, his three daughters, Kristel Nuzzo and her husband Ron, Kortney Nackowski and her husband Stephen all of Middletown, CT and Stacey Boulaine of Arizona. His eight grandchildren whom he adored and who were proud to call him “Poppy” – Corrado and Romello LaRosa, Zoe and Tia Nuzzo, Amanda and Stephen Nackowski and Anthony and Aiden Boulaine his two great grandchildren Aubriella and Elijah Boulaine, his two brothers Frank LaRosa and his wife Dorothy of Southington, CT and R. Salvatore LaRosa and his wife Barbara of Florida, his sister in law, RoseMarie LaRosa also of Southington, CT and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carl was predeceased by his sister, Ida LaRosa and his two brothers Salvatore and Joseph LaRosa. Funeral rites for Carl will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9:00 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave. , New Britain, CT.

, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd), right off exit – one mile down on right.
