Obituary for Carmen Lydia Fuschino Carmen Lydia Fuschino, 58, beloved wife of Douglas J. Fuschino, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family after a terminal illness. Born in Meriden on September 19, 1959, she was the daughter of Lydia Cardona and the late Juan Torres. She had resided in Puerto Rico until she was seventeen before moving to Meriden.

Mrs. Fuschino was employed by Lymans and Marlin Firearms. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Carmen was an avid gardener, she loved shopping and getting her nails done.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jessica Janis Fuschino and her partner, John Whipple; two sons, Douglas William Fuschino and his wife Justine and Eric John Fuschino and his wife Andrea; three grandchildren, Gage, Zephaniah and Malikai and one brother, John E. Torres and one sister-in-law, Miriam Torres. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
