Carol Jo (Gentry) Mills, 71 of Lamar passed away on April 8, 2018 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on September 23, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to G. A. and Alice (Franklin) Gentry. Carol graduated from Bristow High School in 1964.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lamar. She enjoyed quilting and sewing in her free time. While working as a Sales Representative in the oilfield she met, Leroy Mills.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and son David Mills. Survivors include her husband, Leroy of the home, children Jennifer Butts and husband Kenny of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Abby Babb and husband Kelly of Stuart, Tammy Quick of Broken Arrow, grandchildren Derek Beck, Cristi Wojtecki, and Melisa McGuire, brothers Calvin Gentry and wife Mary of Highland Village, Texas and Robert Gentry of Sand Springs, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM on April 11, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Lamar, Oklahoma.

Pastor Jack Vance will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kelly Babb, Derek Beck, Brandon Mills, Kenny Butts, Jeremy Wojtecki, and Corey McGuire. Honorary bearers will be Kelly Dunkleberger, Eric Gentry, Matthew Gentry, Neil Spencer, Robert Rush, and Jeff Cherry.

Interment will follow at the Lamar Cemetery in Lamar. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
