Debbie Kay Little, 57 of Shawnee passed away on June 5, 2018 in Oklahoma City. She was born on October 10, 1960 in Talhina, Oklahoma to Joe Bruner and Nancy (Beaver) Bruner. She attended Campus High School in Haysville, Kansas.

Later, she attended Southwest Baptist College in Missouri and Oklahoma Baptist University. She went on to earn her LPN from Wes Watkins in Wetumka. She loved people and visiting often whether it was on the phone or Facebook.

Debbie was a wonderful seamstress… Read More » and known for her ability to sew her own clothing. She enjoyed playing volleyball when she was younger. Being with family and friends was important to her and she loved to spend time with them.

Debbie married Jerry Little in 1987. Together they enjoyed attending Earlsboro Indian Baptist Church where they were members. Debbie worked for the church doing several different duties such as Vacation Bible School Director and other jobs as needed.

She could always be found helping where there was a need. Preceding her in death are her parents and brothers Joe Bruner Jr and Douglas Bruner. Survivors include her husband Jerry and son, Jeremiah of the home, aunts Lonie Tapia (Arnie) and Kay Murray (Johnny), nieces and nephews Josh Bruner (Erika) and son Hunter, Katie Jackson (Tyler) and Dakota Bruner, special cousin Marian Larney and her husband Russell as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Debbie will be moved to the church on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 4:00 PM. The wake service will begin at 7:00 PM at Middle Creek #1 Baptist Church in Carson, OK. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Middle Creek #1 Baptist Church.

Rev. Jay Downing will officiate the service assisted by Robin Meely. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Little, Josh Bruner, Brian Larney, Damian Larney, Hubert White, BJ Butler, Brent Butler, and Tyler Jackson.

Honorary bearers will be Roger Butler, Steve Sekayouma, Russell Larney, Keith Larney, Johnny Murray, Dakota Bruner and Arnie Tapia. Interment will follow at the Bruner Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
