Obituary of Carol Cole Carol L. Cole, Marion, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 2, 2018. She was born in Fleming County, KY, on April 15, 1933, and was one of the five children born to Clyde and Edna Harmon. On October 17, 2008, she married Richard “Dick” Cole, who recently passed on June 11, 2015.

Carol graduated from Sweetser High School in 1951 and was a nurse for many years in Marion and in Florida. She was very active in church ministries, including the Super Sixties group at Sunnycrest Baptist Church. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Avon Park, FL, and attended Grace Community Church in Marion.

Survivors include her son, Dennis (Jane) Buckler, FL; daughters, Rebecca (Mike) Mark, Marion, Cindy (Mike) Eller, FL, and Vicki (Gary) Bovie, TX; sisters, Frances Douglas and Ruth Smith; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and step-children, Larry (Julie) Cole, Perry (Karrie) Cole, Kevin Cole, and Penny (Dan) Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda McWhirt; sister, Lois Poe; brother, Albert Harmon; and granddaughter, Cher Davis. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Carol’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.

, Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory.
