Obituary of Tommy Yonts Tommy L. Yonts, 81, Marion, passed away at 6:26 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Marion General Hospital. A lifelong resident of Marion, Tommy was born on August 6, 1937, to the late Wesley and Helen N. (Denton) Yonts. On February 2, 1967, he married his bride, Orva “Rose” Kent, and she survives.

Tommy worked at MGH in the Engineering Department and retired after 25 years of service. He always loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. His greatest joy was when he could spend time with his family.

Tommy was a member of First Pentecostal Church. He will be missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Rose; children: Tony (Grace) Randol, Marion; Susan (Greg) Charles, Somerset; Donna (Ernie) Courtney, Gas City; and Tommy (Glenda) Yonts, Jr., WV; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Bill Bunch, Alan Bunch, and Bruce Randol; brother, Jim Yonts; and sister, Joann Hunt.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, at First Pentecostal Church, 1116 S. Pennsylvania St., Marion, IN. Following the time of visitation, Tommy’s funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Darrin Williams and Pastor Clarence Hand officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Pentecostal Church.
