Obituary of Roy Chaney Roy C. Chaney, 64, Marion, passed away in his home at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was born in Pikeville, KY, on July 22, 1954, and was the son of Imal (Coleman) Chaney. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and, following his military service, worked in production at United Technologies until his retirement in December of 2015.

He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, doing yardwork, being with his dogs, and especially spending time with his family and church family at Friendship Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Brewer) Chaney, whom he married on August 21, 2016; son, Roy Dwayne (Erica) Chaney, Huntington; several step-children; 4 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and four sisters. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

At Roy’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a family dinner at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.
