Gilbertsville Caryl B. Klingman, 81, of Gilbertsville passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2018 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta. Caryl was born on September 19, 1936; a daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Loehr) Hutchens in Yonkers, New York. Caryl was once employed by the Clarks Color Center in Oneonta and had a passion to sew.

She enjoyed doing various crafts and supporting many of the areas craft fairs. For many years, she ran an adult care center out of her home… Read More » in Gilbertsville. She had a large heart and there was always enough room to help out another person.

Caryl is survived by her son, Keith (Penny) Klingman; grand-daughters, Stacey (Jeff) Barnes and Tracey (Peter Holmes) Klingman; great- grandchildren, Tammy, Morgan, Mackenzie, Nathan, JP and Hunter; brother, William (Lorraine) Hutchens; sister, Joan Brooks and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Caryl is predeceased by her husband George J. Klingman, who passed away in 2002. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Johnston Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris from 4PM – 6PM.

Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations may be made to the Union Church Cemetery, 1969 County Highway 44, Franklin, NY 13775. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
