Obituary of Christine Holloway Christine “Lisa” Holloway went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2019. She was born in Salisbury on November 22, 1960. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Elwood Shaw, sister Carolyn Jones and brother-in-law Jack Parker.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Ronald C. Holloway, Jr., son Ronald C. Holloway, III, daughter Christine Lauren and husband Matthew Laws, granddaughter Addison Mae Laws and soon to be grandson. She is also survived by mother Gertrude A. Shaw, sister Phyllis F. Shaw Parker, brother Robert R. Shaw and wife Judy, as well as many loving friends and family. Lisa was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart who she married in 1983.

Together, they enjoyed traveling to Europe, New York City, all over the United States, the Islands, and especially to Disney World with the light of their life, granddaughter Addie Mae. Family, her children and grandchildren were her life and brought her much joy. She loved watching Ronnie play lacrosse and watching Lauren dance.

Lisa was so proud of her son Ronnie as a United States Marine. She loved to shop, especially with her daughter Lauren, which also turned into her favorite thing to do with her granddaughter as her Gigi. Gigi loved spending time with Addison on the beach, doing arts and crafts, having tea parties, going to the American Girl store and decorating, especially for Christmas.

Every time they talked, Gigi and Addie Mae told each other, “Love you to the moon and back”. She was looking forward to being a Gigi again to her grandson who is due on February 4th. Lisa loved the beach, decorating, being home and taking care of their home.

She was a terrific singer, loved Elvis, was a wonderful artist, and practical joker. Lisa loved learning, especially about history and the Presidents. She loved to read, and her favorite time of the year was Christmas.

She loved to dance and clean – going through countless vacuums through the years. She was a huge animal lover, and adored her two Maltese, Lexi and Chloe and three labs Sadie, Deke, and Layla. Lisa is a 1979 graduate of Wicomico Senior High School.

She sang at church throughout her childhood, did some modeling, and worked in radiology. She loved Reese’s cups and Pepsi throughout her childhood which turned into a lifetime love of Diet Coke. Her signature perfume was “Happy” by Clinique, which matched her perfectly.

Lisa loved her ’79 Corvette which she drove until she couldn’t fit behind the steering wheel while pregnant with Lauren and then kept covered in the garage for years. Lisa was a kind-hearted, joyful, and generous friend. Nothing made her happier than doing things for other people.

She was a very generous and kind person with a huge heart and always strived to be the peacemaker. She will be remembered for being the best Gigi, Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend that anyone could ask for. A Visitation for friends and family will take place on Friday, 1/25 from 5PM-7PM at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 1/26 at 1PM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1401 Camden Ave, Salisbury. A Reception will take place following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maryland SPCA, Development Office, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211 or mdspca.org.
