Obituary of Sandra Greene-Wolber Sandra Reese Greene-Wolber, 73, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, peacefully at her home. Born on April 14, 1945 in Salisbury, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Melvin William and Doris Woelper Reese. After graduation from Wicomico High School in 1963, Sandra attended the University of Maryland, College Park, before joining her father at Reese Optical of Salisbury, thus beginning a lifetime career of serving countless Delmarva residents with their optical needs.

Upon the retirement of Mr. Reese, Sandra took over the family business. In later years, Reese Optical merged with Chesapeake Eye Center, from where she retired. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Sandra was active in the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Salisbury Assembly No.

5, where she served as Worthy Advisor. She was awarded the Grand Cross of Colors, which is the highest honor given to a member for outstanding service. Sandra is survived by her husband of 23 years, Vernon Wolber, of Salisbury; a daughter, Rachel Greene and her husband Ryan Baker, and two grandchildren, Declan and Myles, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and two sisters, Gail Anne Timmons, and her husband, L. Ewing Timmons, Jr., of Snow Hill, Maryland; and Yvonne Messick and her husband Neil T. Messick, of Bluffton, South Carolina; and a large and loving family.

In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward “Butch” Mason Greene, of Salisbury. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Reverend Benita Harris officiating. A visitation with the family will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
