OBITUARY RUTH E MURRAY July 2, 1921 – January 9, 2019 Ruth E. Murray, 97, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home in Salisbury. Born in Laurel, DE she was the daughter of the late M. Henry Dickerson and Carrie E. Hastings Dickerson. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Sharptown.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Harrington; four grandchildren, Marcia Shaffer, Bryan Harrington, Wayne Harrington, and April Melvin; and nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lenard Porter in 1967 and Leroy Murray in 1979; three brothers and five sisters. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Rev. Jim Penuel will officiate. Interment will be held in Sharptown Fireman’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
