Calvin L. Abbott September 30, 1956 – January 7, 2019 Calvin L. Abbott, 62, of Salisbury, departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Lewes, DE, he was the son of the late Marvin Gibbs and Shirley Abbott Phillips. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Marian L. Thomas.

His wife, Julie LaBarr, also preceded him in death. Mr. Abbott was employed by Bayshore Development Corporation in Ocean City. In addition to his grandmother, he will be lovingly remembered by: a son, Jared T. LaBarr; a brother, William E. Abbott; two sisters, Francetta Abbott and Rosavella Phillips; five grandchildren, Shyheim Holden, Derrell Holden, Ladashya White, Octavia White, and Aayleyah White; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, grandmother and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, CarLisa L. Abbott. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 11 AM at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A., 1618 West Road, Salisbury. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM.

Disposition will be private.
