Claire’s Obituary Sloansville (Schoharie County): Claire A. Moore 68, of Saddlemire Hill Road Sloansville, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, March 22nd at her home. Claire was born March 22, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Hugh and Alma (O’Brien) Martin. She graduated from Connequot High School in Bohemia, NY and later attended college.

She had worked as an office manager for Schenectady Family Health and had also held the elected position of Town Clerk, Town of Esperance. She met her future husband while working as a switchboard operator at Shorehim Nuclear Power Plant in Long Island. Survivors include her husband, Larry R. Moore, whom she married March 20, 1982, her son; Steven M. Moore (Erica Larkin) of Sloansville, her beloved granddaughter MacKenzie Moore, her brother Dennis Martin of Mechanicsburg, PA, nephew Matthew Martin of Brooklyn, niece Claire Yantis of Harrisburg, PA, nephew William Thomas of Harrisburg, PA, along with several grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Hugh J. Martin in 1983 and her sister Mary Ann Thomas in 2007. There will be no formal services or visitation. A message from Claire: “Please pray for me”.

The Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie and the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill are assisting the Moore family.
