Barriner, age 91, Lawton will be scheduled at a later date. Cleo M. Barriner went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, in Lawton. She was born March 10, 1927 in Watonga, Oklahoma to John and Mabel Elsie (Garl) Harkness.

She grew up in Enid and moved to Lawton following her marriage William A. Fountain. She later married SFC (Retired) Jewel N. Barriner on September 17, 1965 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1985.

Cleo had been a member of the 9th and Lee Church of God. She served with the PTA at Cleveland Elementary School when her children were young. She was a member of the Crippled Turkey Square Dance Club and was active with the Delta Nutrition Center.

She is survived by her son, Garl Fountain and his wife Marsha; her daughters, Connie Hughes and husband Virgil and Robyn Williams and husband Steve; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, Jewel, a son, William David Fountain, a daughter, Debra K. Holcomb, and her brother, J.W. Harkness, preceded her in death.
