Norton, Sr. will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 4, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Marsh, Pastor of Carriage Hills Christian Church, Lawton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon, February 3, 2019 from 2pm until 5pm at the funeral home.

Bobby L. Norton, Sr., 79, Lawton passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his home. He was born November 6, 1939 in Garland, Arkansas to Damon Howard and Clara (Mitts) Norton. In his younger years he played in a Country band, “Party Times”.

He lived in Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas before moving to Lawton in 1979, where he supervised the tile installation for Central Mall. In Lawton he met and married his wife of 37 ½ years, Teresa Yvonne Hamilton on June 5, 1981. They lived in Cache, Medicine Park and Lawton.

He and Teresa continued their love for country music and loved to country dance. Together they owned and operated Norton’s Tile for 28 years. Bobby has been a tile setter for 60 years.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs. Bobby is survived by his wife Teresa of the home, his son Bobby L. Norton, Jr. and wife Anita of Texarkana, Arkansas, his daughters, Tracy Fleetwood and husband Tim of Comanche, Oklahoma, Jennifer Waxell and husband Daniel of Lawton, Tonja Martinez and husband Leo of Magnolia, Texas, Lori Foster and husband Bill of Teague, Texas, his brothers, Bill Norton and wife Betty of Texarkana, Arkansas, David Norton and wife Sherry of Texarkana, Arkansas, his sisters, Faye Norton of Mena, Arkansas, Betty Vanderburg and husband Don of Texarkana, Texas, Linda Ross and husband Lee of Texarkana, Arkansas, Damona Bryant and husband Wayne of Texarkana, Arkansas and Janice Jones of Texarkana, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Dorothy Holland and Peggy McKnight and a brother Dennis Norton.
