Samuel’s Obituary Samuel Lee Burley, age 88, of Lawton passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Samuel was born February 19, 1931 in Lewisville, Georgia to Samuel and Carrie Anderson Burley. Samuel joined the US Army in 1952 in Chamblee, Georgia.

He had many titles throughout his career in the Army including Senior Supply Supervisor, Cannon Missile Senior Sergeant but retired as Command Sergeant. Samuel served his country for thirty years. His hobbies were word search and puzzle books and he was an avid Jackson Jaguars football and Oklahoma City Thunder fan!

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Carrie Burley; his brother Robert “Bo” Burley; his sister, Mary Johnson; his wife, Betty Burley; his daughter, Carol Burley and his son, Thomas Burley. Samuel is survived by his sons, Samuel and Marquerite Burley Jr and Carlos and Pamela Burley both of Lawton; his companion, James Burley of Lawton and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
