J. O. Howard, Pastor of The Church of God, Lawton and Rev. Ron Meador, Pastor of Bethel Assembly of God, Duncan, Oklahoma officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the funeral home. MSgt (Retired) Robert Wayne Harrison, 75, Lawton passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Lawton.

He was born October 10, 1943 in Lawton to Charles Arthur and Bertha Marie (Bradley) Harrison. He grew up in Lawton where he attended school. Robert enlisted in the National Guard in 1961 and later enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee for four years.

The majority of Roberts’s career was in the Air Force. He spent 16 years in the Air Force mainly as a structural technician and was a veteran of Vietnam. While in the Air Force Robert earned the following awards: the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal W/3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Humanitarian Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon W/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon W/3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Training Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Following his military retirement Robert owned and operated The Door Doctor for many years. He was a board member with the Full Gospel Evangelist Association. Robert was a man who loved his family very much and cherished his time with them.

He loved singing in church, fishing and golfing. He was a handyman who could fix almost anything including homes and cars. Robert will be missed by all.

Survivors include Daughter, Rebecca Harrison of Lawton, son, Russell Harrison of Phoenix, Arizona, six grandchildren, Jennifer Renner and significant other, Anthony Edwards, Jr. both of Lawton, Patricia Dee-Mae Foster and Denton of Lawton, Autumn Nicole Nix and Tanner Beauregard of Lawton, Baylee Harrison of Lawton, Katie Ann Harrison of Oklahoma City and Russell Lance King of Belton, Texas; four great grandchildren, three sisters, Mattie Carder of Lawton, Carolyn Small of Poway, Californiaand Linda Alderson and Randy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Beth Harrison of Fairfax, Virginia and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robbie Harrison, grandson, Charley Harrison, brother, Jimmie Harrison and four brothers-in-law. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4525 S Penn Ave.
