Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dorthy Mae Billings was born August 4, 1935 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Leroy and Docia (Jackson) David.

She died at the age of 83 on March 14, 2019 in Lawton. Dorthy grew up in Lawton and attended Lincoln School. She married Russell Billings on September 1, 1951 in Lawton.

He preceded her in death on August 18, 1994. She worked as a substitute cook for the Lawton Public Schools and retired from Lawton Nutrition Center as a cook, where her homemade biscuits were legendary. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed watching soap operas with All My Children being her favorite.

She also enjoyed going out to eat and shopping with her niece, Nora Jean. Dorthy’s favorite pastime of all was spending time with her family where she could cut up and make others laugh. She is survived by three sons, Billy Wayne Billings and wife, Donna, Terry Lynn Billings, and Pat Wayne Billings and wife Tara; six grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Brian and husband Troy, Brandy Kay Wright and husband Jason, Thalia Billings, Felesha Barber, Alison Bass, Johnathan Smith, ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews which include Nora, Carol, Barbara, and Bobby, and Eli Farley, a longtime family-friend that was like a son to her.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Steve Allen Billings, Marvin Dale Billings and James Lewis Billings, three sisters, Genevia, Juanita, and Izella, her brother, Cleaburn, and her beloved pet, Sam. An online guest book and sympathy cards are available at www. beckerfuneral.com.
