Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Coast, pastor and Pastor Matt Kelly, Letitia Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Margaret Wynema New, age 92, passed to her heavenly home on March 22, 2019. She was born December 17, 1926 north of Indiahoma, the first born of twelve children to Bid and Lucy (Hodson) Ryder. Wynema attended school at Cold Springs in Snyder and graduated from Indiahoma High School.

After graduation she attended Draughans Business School in Wichita Falls, TX. Wynema was a bookkeeper for AC George (Indiahoma Café), Fort Sill Credit Union and Fort Sill Personnel. On August 5, 1945 in Frederick, Oklahoma she married Wiley G. New.

She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. Wynema loved her church and pastor. She enjoyed serving in the church, especially with nursing home services.

Survivors include son Larry (Myrna) New, Lawton, son-in-law Tony Gulley, Chandler, six grandchildren; Kelly (Jennifer) New, Sterling, Brett (Kimberly) New, Columbus, Georgia. , Marty (Janette) New, Lawton, Chad (Jennifer) Gulley, Choctaw, Lindsay (Tony) Willets,Yukon, Brandon (Stephanie) New, Medicine Park, and 18 great grandchildren. Other survivors include siblings; A.J. Ryder , Cache, Bobby (Jeannie) Ryder, Wichita, Kansas, Jerry (Joyce) Ryder, Lawton, Valois “Blondie” (Ray) Shuler, Lawton, Sandy Hunnington, Oklahoma City, Shirleta Bennifield, Oklahoma City, Sharon (Mike) Phelps, Houston, Texas, friend Mac Sellers and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wiley G. New, parents Bid and Lucy Ryder, son Kim New, daughter Jaree Gulley; her brothers Jimmy Don Ryder, Johnny Ryder, Billy Joe Ryder and sister Lavois Taylor. The family would like to thank all the special people at Brentwood Assisted Living and Aspire Hospice for their kindness and care.
