Evangelina Rios July 20, 1965 – March 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Funeral service for Evangelina Rios will be at 11:30 am Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dan Capri, Lawton officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends Monday evening, April 1, 2019 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Evangelina Rios 53, Lawton was born July 20, 1965 in El Paso, Texas to Antonio Natividad Guerra and Evangelina Ortega. Evangelina went to Thomas Jefferson High School in El Paso, Texas. She married Magin Rios, Jr. in Colorado Springs, Colorado (Fort Carson) on June 24, 1996.

They were married twenty-three years until death parted them on March 27, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three boys, Shannon Guerra, Nicholas Valles and Jorge Valles. She was the main foundation that kept her boys in line until their adulthood.

She was very outspoken and would tell you like it was. Anyone that came to her home, she treated like family. Evangelina loved animals, especially her horse, and she loved to feed the birds every morning.

She loved to cook for family and friend gatherings and enjoyed watching the travel and cooking channels. She loved Jazz music, listening since her childhood. She worked for UPS at the front desk in Colorado, and was supervisor at both K-Mart and Dollar General in Lawton.

Evangelina was the greatest wife, mother and friend that anyone could ask for, and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband Magin Rios, Jr. of the home, 3 sons, Shannon Guerra and wife Kristen of Tulsa, Oklahoma Jorge Valles and Nicholas Valles of Lawton, her brothers Hector Ortega of California, Juan Morales of Denver, Colorado, Antonio Guerra of El Paso, Texas, Manuel Guerra and wife Rosa of El Paso, Texas, Rick Guerra of Denver, Colorado, Erin Guerra of Phoenix, Arizona, Frank Guerra of Lawton, Oklahoma, her sisters Yolanda Guerra of Long Beach, California, Sandra Guerra of Denver, Colorado, one grandchild, Shannon Antonio Guerra of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and a great host of special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Carlos Guerra and Eddie Guerra and a sister Delia Morales.
