Schamburg, 92, of Perryville, was baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection on January 10, 2019 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, MO. She was born March 18, 1926 in Silver Lake, MO daughter of Leo E. and Mary Loretta (McLain) Tucker. She and Albert H. “Aubie” Schamburg Jr. were married on August 14, 1954.

He preceded him in death on November 15, 1995. Cletea had worked at International Shoe Co. for over 40 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister, also belonged to several other church related groups when she was younger, and Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She loved to cook, the outdoors, fishing and also to embroider quilts and quilt tops. She was a kind, compassionate lady, loved children and loved to socialize. She enjoyed going to dances with her spouse, Albert and was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 133.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Schamburg of Jackson; a grandson, Matthew (Gayle) Schamburg of Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Sydney Schamburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings, Rose, Gertrude, Helen and Clarence. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, January 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Monday, January 14 from 6:30 to 9:30 am.

She will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating. Burial in the Mt.

Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
