Lorene Moll Bohnert April 08, 1932 – January 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lorene Moll Bohnert, 86, of Perryville went to her heavenly home on January 5, 2019. She was born April 8, 1932 in Burfordsville, MO, daughter of Herman and Edna (Siebert) Moll. She and Arnold E. Bohnert were married on August 26, 1956.

They moved to a farm at Crosstown and they farmed until he passed away suddenly on May 14, 1993. Lorene was baptized on May 15, 1932 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, MO. She attended Cane Creek School in Burfordsville, MO and Immanuel Lutheran School in Tilsit, MO, where she was confirmed on May 14, 1946.

She graduated from Jackson High School in 1950 and graduated from Steimle Business College. She was employed at State Farm Insurance in Cape Girardeau, MO. Lorene was instrumental in helping with the Braille Book Center for the blind in Crosstown, MO.

She belongs to the Zion Ladies aid, American Legion Auxiliary and Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she had been employed for 36 years. She loved to bowl and was an avid bowler for many years, where she received numerous awards and was on many teams through the years up to a ripe age of 84. Her very last ball she ever rolled was a strike.

She was very active on her farm, raking hay of recent and driving her Kawasaki Mule at the age of 84 around the farm, sometimes racing back to her home with friends in tow to beat a storm that was rolling in. Survivors include two sons, David (Lorri) Bohnert, and Timothy (Elizabeth) Bohnert, four grandchildren, Micah (Amy), Meghan (Robert) Lee and Camden (Chelsea) and Andrew, one great grandson, Owen Lee. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Norma Moll and three brothers, Ervin, Edgar and Albert. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday, January 11, from 6:30 – 8:15 am. She will then be taken to Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown for Service at 10:00 am with Rev.

Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Crosstown where she will await to meet her Lord on Resurrection Day. Memorials preferred to Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown or Alpha Hospice in Edmond, OK.
