Blechle, 84, of Perryville, died on February 3, 2019 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, MO. He was born August 9, 1934 in Perry County, MO son of Henry and Lucille (French) Blechle. He married Shirley Lawrence on January 14, 1956.

She survives in Perryville. John was retired from Mississippi Lime and was a livestock farmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary.

He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263, American Legion Post 133 and Ste. Genevieve ARC. He was in the US Naval Reserves.

Survivors include two daughters and one son, Katherine Blechle and Vickie (Bernard) Hoernig both of Perryville and Bernard (Peggy) Blechle of St. Mary, two brothers, Paul (Imogene) Blechle of Perryville and Jim (Clare) Blechle of Apple Creek, two sisters-in-law, Shirley and Louise Blechle, one brother-in-law, Russell Schumer, seven grandchildren, Matthew Hoernig, Cassandra (Zachary) Stobart, Gregory Hoernig, Kenton (Jennifer) Hoernig, Derrick (Kaitlyn) Blechle, Renee (Chris) Beinlein and Lauren Blechle and nine great grandchildren, Simon, Alia, Genevieve and Cora Stobart, Avelyn Hoernig, Cameron and Carley Beinlein and Louis and Emma Blechle. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Debra Sue Blechle one son, Barry A. Blechle, two brothers, Edgar and Hank Blechle and one sister, Patricia Schumer. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 6:30 – 9:20 am with rosary at 8:15 am.

He will then be taken to Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer for Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer CM officiating. Burial Saturday, February 9 at 12:00 noon in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Mary, MO.
