Cecil “Terry” Clifton March 26, 1955 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Cecil “Terry” Clifton, 63, of Perryville, died on February 23, 2019 at his residence in Perryville, MO. He was born March 26, 1955 in Perryville, MO son of Cecil James and Marcella June (Cahoon) Clifton. He and Charlene Keehn were married on August 2, 2014.

She survives in Perryville, MO. His first job was at 14 years old, he was a carhop at his Mother’s restaurant Park & Eat in Ste. Genevieve.

He was a diesel mechanic for 30 years at Harris Trucking, then Wetop Trucking both in Cape Girardeau, then Larry Schmidt Trucking in Perryville. He was then a machine operator for TG-USA in Perryville and later a Certified Gold Stihl Technician small engine repair mechanic for Buchheit’s Small Engine Repair in Perryville, MO. He was a member of the Baptist faith, H. O. G. member of the SEMO Chapter of Cape Girardeau, MO, and US Army Veteran of Vietnam Era.

Terry was a dedicated worker and family provider. He loved to spend time with his family, take leisurely bike rides, and spend time in the outdoors watching nature. Other survivors include three sons and three daughters, Terry (Crystal) Clifton of Wyatt, MO, Jeremy Smith of Oran, MO, Roger (Samantha “Sam” Sebranek) Burm of Mesquite, TX, Sarah (Brandon) Seabaugh of Sherman, TX, Amanda (SGT Benjamin) Gilbert of Baumholder, Germany, Helen Schmohe of Rapid City, SD; one sister, Barbara Clifton of Ste.

Genevieve and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joan Howard. Family and close friends will gather for a Celebration of Life memorial service on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 am at the Family Home with military honors provided by VFW Post 4282 and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of family’s choice. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
