Blechle, 72, of Perryville, died on February 8, 2019 in Bollinger County, MO. He was born May 30, 1946 in Biehle, MO son of Valentine “Wally” and Mildred (Pingel) Blechle. He and Linda M. Thieret were married on May 28, 1994.

She survives in Perryville, MO. Melvin had been a heavy equipment operator for Local 513. He was US Army veteran.

Survivors include four children, Michele (Todd) Ransom, of Perryville, Melinda (Chris) Hill of Crawfordville, FL, Tony Peters and Vicki Roberts both of Perryville; one sister, Sharon (Ed) Dow of Perryville; one brother, Richard (Pat) Blechle of Blue Springs, MO; and 9 grandchildren, Kyle and Tyler Johnson, Tyler Ransom, Matthew and Sean Hill, Jacob Peters, Derrick, Katelyn and Ava Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Shane and one brother, Mike. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, February 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, February 12 from 6:30 to 9:00 am.

He will then be taken to St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle for funeral Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, MO. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
