Obituary of Daniel Caruso, Sr. Daniel J. Caruso Sr., 69, of Bemus Point passed away peacefully Sunday (December 30, 2018) in his home with his family by his side. He was born April 18, 1949 in Jamestown, the son of the late Joseph and Joyce Giambelluca Caruso. Dan was a 1967 graduate of Falconer High School and attended Jamestown Community College.

In earlier years Dan was employed by Marine Midland Bank and Moore Business Forms & Systems. Prior to retirement he had owned Americare Hearing Aid Center Inc. in Beaver and New Castle, Pennsylvania with his son, Paul. He was a member of Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, the Vikings Lodge, and St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his family at his home on Chautauqua Lake, boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, and traveling with his wife and friends. Surviving are his wife Susan F. Wakefield Caruso whom he married April 25, 1970 in Falconer; two sons: Daniel J. (Stacey) Caruso Jr. of Rootstown, Ohio, Paul D. Caruso of Cranberry, PA; two grandchildren: Jacob and Sarah Caruso, both of Rootstown; two brothers: Ronald J. Caruso of Bemus Point, Thomas G. Caruso of Jamestown; three sisters; Madeline DeMarco, RoseAnn (John) Samuelson, and Angeline (Alberto) Rodriguez, all of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:15 am Friday, January 4 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 3748 Route 430, Bemus Point. Rev. Ivy Gauvin, pastor of the church, will preside and Rev.

Daniel Caruso Jr. will preach. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, Jan. 3 and 10-11 am Friday, Jan.

4, preceding service at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church or Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, who the family would like to thank for their outstanding care.
