Dante Pasquale Rosselli, 89, died peacefully on July 20, 2018 at Mary Wade Home in New Haven, CT with his loving wife of 61 years, Josephine (Amaturo) by his side. He was born in New Haven on March 16, 1929, the youngest son of the late Antonio and Antonetta (Barbaro) Rosselli. He is survived by his wife Josephine and his children, Dante (Gregory Campora) Rosselli, Philip (Maureen Butler) Rosselli, Gina (Randy) Boswell and Richard (Jinky Ang) Rosselli.

He is predeceased by his brothers Agostino, Ralph and Anthony (‘Nene’) and a sister Angelina Taddei. He was a proud grandfather to Vanessa Marie (Joshua) St. Clair, Philip (Evanica) Rosselli, Veronica Boswell, Olivia Boswell, Maxwell Rosselli and Gabriella Rosselli. Dante was born and raised on 352 Greene Street in Wooster Square.

He attended Columbus School, Hillhouse High School (’47) and the University of New Haven. He was employed as an accountant for many years at C.W. Blakeslee. He loved attending concerts at Yale – especially visiting orchestras.

Born into a musical family, he had a lifelong love of classical and popular music, which is carried on by his children and grandchildren. Dante retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1986, where he enjoyed playing golf, listening to music and socializing with friends both old and new. Dante’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Christine Palluotto for all of her support and care over the last year.

, as well as the staff at Mary Wade. Visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 4-7pm at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 10:00am at St. Michael’s Church, 29 Wooster Place in New Haven.
