Obituary for Lillian P. Moore Lillian P. Mooney Moore, 85, longtime resident of Jaenicke Lane in Hamden, passed away Saturday, July 7,2018 at the CT Hospice, Branford with her beloved family at her side. Survived by her loving husband Thomas J. Moore Jr., two daughters, Eileen ( Fiancé Christopher Carr) Cassello and Kerry (David) Esposito , both of Wallingford, three sons Thomas (Moira) Moore III, Michael (Jean-Ann) Moore and Kevin (Mary) Moore, all of Hamden, grandchildren, Aubrey and Thomas Moore IV, Megan and Michael Cassello, Matthew, Andrew and Brian Esposito and Daniel and Alexandra Moore. Also survived by a brother Thomas Mooney of Hamden, a sister Ann Rushley of Columbus OH and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, William and John Mooney and two sisters, Marie O’Dell and Margaret Barone. She was born March 9,1933 in New Haven a daughter of the late William and Margaret Galvin Mooney , was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School class of 1951 and had been employed as a secretary at the SNET for several years and also had worked at the former Toms Market in Hamden. Lillian was a volunteer at the St. Ann’s Church soup kitchen for 17 years .

She loved to travel and had made several trips to Ireland and Italy and made a cross country bus trip going all over the USA. Lillian’s family would like to thank all of the staff at Atria Larson Place for the loving and compassionate care given to her. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave.

, Wednesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church at 10:00. .

Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 -8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd.
