Louis J. Rapuano, of Orange, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on September 21, 2018 in Yale New Haven Hospital – St. Raphael Campus. He was the beloved husband of Carol Huber Rapuano. Born in West Haven, CT February 18, 1932, son of the late Anthony and Etta Trotta Rapuano, Louis graduated from The Hopkins School and The Gunnery, he attended Rochester Polytechnic Institute, and the University of Bridgeport.

He was a mechanical and electrical engineer, working for Robertshaw-Fulton, the Farrell Corporation, and retiring from Satin American. While at Robertshaw-Fulton, Louis was a member of its Manager’s club. He was a parishioner of Holy Infant Church and a former member of the Legion of Mary.

He was the father of Louis Rapuano, Susan Fernandes and Tina (John) Giuliano, proud grandfather of Lauryn and Laci Giuliano, all of Orange. Brother of Carolyn Cavallaro and Leonard Rapuano. Uncle of Alicia, Andrée, David, Leslie and Anthony.

Visiting hours will be held in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven Friday morning from 8-9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church 29 Wooster Place in New Haven at 10. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery 280 Derby Avenue in West Haven CT.
