Obituary for Patricia M Coughlin Patricia Coughlin, 90, passed away peacefully on July 10 while surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Donald, her first daughter Mary Berezecky , two grandchildren, Kelly Coughlin and Megan McAuliffe and a sister Alicia Harty. Patricia leaves her 9 children and their spouses; Daniel Coughlin of North Haven, Jean (Dennis) McAuliffe of Wallingford, Bill (Janet) Coughlin of Hamden, Carol (John) Sequino of Hamden, John (Nancy) Coughlin of North Haven, Bobby Coughlin of Hamden, Gerry (Nancy) Coughlin of Tampa, FL, Donna Coughlin of Branford, and Tricia Coughlin of Oakland, CA; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Patricia is also survived by her brother, Joseph Harty of Dorchester, MA. & many nieces, nephews and friends. She was born April 20,1928 in Boston, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary E. Hennessey Harty.
Don and Pat lived in Dorchester, MA & Weymouth, MA before moving their family to Hamden, CT in 1966. She was a faithfull parishoner of St. Rita Church in Hamden and had been a member of the choir there. Pat will be remembered best for her fun-loving nature and pleasant personality.
She was always the life of the party and could often be spotted singing and dancing along to the music, especially Irish music. She had an athletic nature and was a member of the Hamden women’s softball team and bowling team and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox. She especially loved swimming in the ocean, no matter how cold it was.
Most importantly, Patricia’s undying faith knew no limits and had a compelling impact on all her knew her well. She loved her husband and children deeply and was very proud to be the mother of 10 wonderful children. Patricia’s family is very grateful for the exceptional care given at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave. ,Hamden, Friday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church at 11:00 Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
