Obituary for Anne St. Clair Kelley Anne St. Clair Kelley of Cheshire, formerly of North Haven, died June 26, 2018 in CT. Hospice. Miss Kelley was born in New Haven on September 24, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles Michael and Margaret Deakin Kelley.

She was educated in the New Haven Public Schools and at Albertus Magnus College where she received a B.A. degree. During her early teaching career she received an M.A. degree and a certificate of Advanced Study in educational administration from Fairfield University. Later she earned an M.A. degree in English from Middlebury College.

Miss Kelley served as chairman of the English Department at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven and then as Supervisor of English in the Milford School System. She retired as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in Milford. Miss Kelley co-authored a Composition Series for Grades 6-12 published by Jovanovich.

She also served as a reader for the College Entrance Examination Board in English Composition. Miss Kelley is survived by her sister, Eileen Kelley Moriarty of Cheshire and two nieces, Claire (Kevin) Cain of Vineyard Haven, MA and Karen (Joseph) Senes of Monroe, CT. Hamden, from 4 – 7p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave.
