Obituary for Daune A. Goettler Daune A. Goettler, 89, of Kingsford, passed away peacefully Monday, May 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Daune was born in Iron Mountain on June 16, 1928, daughter of the late Alex and Violet (Meyer) Beaulier. After her graduation from high school, Daune worked as a telephone operator.
She married George “Bud” Goettler III on September 11, 1948 at American Martyrs Catholic Church. They had been married for 66 years when George passed away in 2015. George and Daune enjoyed many wonderful years together doing the things they loved: enjoying their dogs, dancing, fishing, spending time at their cottage, and most importantly, being with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Daune loved to crochet and had a real knack for the computer. She was a member of AT&T Pioneers and Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, and attended American Martyrs Catholic Church. Daune is survived by her sons, George (Alice) Goettler IV and Terry (Margaret) Goettler of Lake Stevens; daughters, Kathleen Campos of Kingsford and Teresa (Mark) Diercks of Green Bay; brothers, Dale (Ruth) Beaulier of Kingsford and Howard (Muriel) Beaulier; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. and Friday, June 1, 2018 from 9:30a.m. – 10:30a.m. at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford, officiated by Fr. Joseph Gouin.
