Obituary for Mikael G. Hahner Mikael G. Hahner, 63, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, WI. Mike was born June 19, 1954 in Madison, WI, the son of Naomi (Worlund) Hahner and the late George Hahner. Following his graduation from Washington Park High School in Racine, WI, he attended the University of Wisconsin Madison where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Mike went on to receive his Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Detroit School of Law. He began his career as an attorney in 1980 in the Detroit area and he eventually moved to the Upper Peninsula where he worked for a couple different law firms. Mike married Kathleen M. Turuc on August 15, 1992 in Calumet, MI.

In 2009, Mike opened his own practice, Hahner Law Office in Iron Mountain. He was an avid sports fan and followed the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Bucks and UW Madison teams. Mikael is survived by his wife, Katie; his son, Nikolas Hahner; his mother, Naomi Hahner; a brother, Eric (Sue) Hahner; two sisters, Heidi (Mark) Komistra and Kristin Hahner; several nieces and nephews as well as three great nieces.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Evan Hahner. At Mikael’s request, there will be no services held. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Mikael Hahner online at www.
