Obituary for Ms. Diane Head Diane Head, 54, of 9 Park Avenue, Salem, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at her home. A native of Salem, SC, Ms. Head was the daughter of Maurice and Louise A. Head. She graduated from Anderson College and Mars Hill University.

Ms. Head was in her third term as Mayor of Salem and owner of Diane Head Mulch. She was an advocate for the Next Eagle Ridge Charter School and participated in community service with Toys for Tots and Wounded Warriors. Ms. Head was an avid supporter of the Tennessee Lady Vols.

She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, Ms. Head is survived by her daughter: Leigh Casey Roach of Salem, SC; and longtime friend: Darlene Merck. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Eagle Ridge School.

The family request all guest to dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diane Head Memorial Scholarship, at any Community First Bank. The family is at the home.
